I was invited to do a review at one of the food outlet some a week ago,

History:

Piao Xiang started from a corner lot at Trivillion, Kuching, which started with an outlet – a quiet outlet. Partially due to two common factors that I have learnt from some of the food critics in town that the food has a taste problem. Moving onward, Piao Xiang moved to Jalan Song and was there for a few months and on more recent, has moved again to Jalan Padungan.

Experience:

First time I dine there with my wife. The food seems much saltier. Second visit was a little more bitter as the food was not as expected.

The food tasting was my third visits. This time, things has taken a change and we were recommended with a few dishes that could really bring out the taste bud of our tongue.

The food Tasting:

Together with me was Georgette of Post Mag, The Borneo Post. Her review has debut today on Post Mag.

The first dish that hit the boundary is the pork throttle. First time I tasted that fish was in the Philippines which was called “Crispy Pata” and the second was here in Kuching from the Venue. Comparing the taste of the three, I could only realised the different. Other outfit pound the pata with Curry and Satay gravy, here, you have gotta try it with the special shallot dip. Its worth the try.

One other dish that really catches my tongue is the Pork with Petai. The blend of the two odd taste together makes a heavenly combinations. Sensational, simply a perfect mix in taste.

Other dishes includes Melaka (Nyonya Style) Hokkien Noodle, Chicken & Ham, Mussels and etc.

Its worth a try. Just ask the cook to reduce the salt level.
